In loving memory of Graham Smith.

Please add any anecdotes or messages about Graham, how you knew him, your memories, funny stories that made him the special person he was.

Throughout his short battle with cancer, we were so supported by Ellenor Hospice, who tried to ensure his quality of life was the best it could be. Their compassion and help ensured Graham’s last few weeks were comfortable and dignified.

In lieu of flowers, any donations in Graham’s memory would be greatly appreciated xx

We were so sorry to hear about Graham.
We knew him as teenagers and in our early twenties.
He was always so polite, good fun and good company. We will remember him fondly.
Condolences to all his family and friends.

Graham, I will miss you the only golfer to not only play better than me - not difficult - but to do it playing both left and right handed! Taken too soon.

Graham was a loyal friend to us over the decades. He was a serious and intelligent man, but behind that lay the wicked sense of humour which we loved that had us quoting Blackadder and Monty Python on WhatsApp right to the last message he sent. Devoted to his family, we were proud to call him our friend and will miss him dearly. Sleep well Graham x

An oh so sophisticated dinner party when we were 18! We have such wonderful memories of the fun we had at that age, and the enduring friendship we had with Graham over the subsequent years. We will miss him and his irreverent sense of humour.

Dear Alison and family, particularly Graham's boys
I knew Graham from school, we even went out with each other for a few months, which seems a long time when you are 16! I am so sorry for such a devastating loss.
I will remember Graham for his independence of thought, intelligence, his love of music and wicked sense of humour. I will always thank him for introducing me to Fleetwood Mac, The Eagles and Meat Loaf, and of course the Fox and Hounds pub in Meopham! At school we spent many happy hours with Rachel, Elaine and Anthony reciting Monty Python and Not the Nine O'Clock News and laughing, always laughing. When I heard he had died a poem he taught me which I think really captures Graham's humour and character, here's a verse from Binker by AA Milne
Binker's brave as lions when we're running in the park
Binker's brave as tigers when we're lying in the dark
Binker's brave as elephants, he never, ever cries
Except like other people when the soap gets in his eyes
Thinking of you all.
Caroline
