Peacefully at home, after an illness courageously fought and with her loving family at her side, on December 16th aged 83 years, Sylvia (née Allison). The devoted wife of the late Eddie, beloved mam of Julie and Paula, loving mother-in-law of Glenn and Jason. The treasured gran of Anthony, Ellen, Alicia, Anna, Erin and great-gran of Georgie, Olly, Sadie and Eva. The dearly loved sister of the late Robin and John and sister-in-law of Audrey, Lily and Jean, a dear auntie and good friend to many. Forever in our hearts.

Family and friends please meet on Thursday January 8th for service in Union Street Methodist Church, Hetton-le-Hole at 2:15pm, committal to follow in Durham Crematorium. Family flowers only, donations in lieu kindly received for Ovarian Cancer Action. A donation box will be available in church. Please join the family afterwards for refreshments and to continue the celebration of Sylvia’s life in Houghton Golf Club.
