Henry Dane (24 Jul 1951 - 16 Dec 2025)

I met Henry in the early 80’s when we both worked in the Post Office and struck up a close Friendship.I introduced him to my Football team and he was a regular visitor at Club Events.We even travelled to Liverpool together in 1982 for a League Cup Semi Final.When I left the area in 1988 we didn’t see a lot of each other but I was delighted to have a afternoon with him earlier this year when we discussed our Friendship of over 40 years.I nicknamed him the Great Dane and he will be sadly missed by all.

I have fond memories of Henry and I thoroughly enjoyed Henry's company on many occasions. He most certainly went out of his way to help people and he showed real kindness. My sincere condolences to Angela and the wider family circle as they deal with their loss.
