Derek,over the past 18 months I grew closer to you, after being in your life for 35 years, some days I would be greeted with the biggest smile, other days I would be greeted with a shake of your head (she's not here again🤣) but in the end I know you loved me and I loved you. As much as it was your time to go, I am finding it so hard that your last fight was your last, after all your come backs ❤️ I am missing you already so much, and wish I could hear you shout Doooonnnna! Once more. Untill we meet again all my love to a wonderful father in law ❤️

Dad I still can't believe your gone x You were such a hard working Dad that did everything for his family x As many people have said a true gentleman and a very proud man x Over the last eighteen months we started losing you a bit more each day ,but still there would be days when you gave me that amazing smile and a twinkle in your eyes x Although I know you were ready to go and I was happy for you to go to Mam im missing you so much Dad and feel so lost x I hope we do you proud on Tuesday 💙x I will love and miss you always x x

What a true gentleman. You were a great neighbour to have and a very dear friend to all my famfily. Every day you were round at 11am for your cuppa with mum and dad. Gonna miss you derek. AKA dez. Rip. Xx
