I remember the early days and stories of the Christmas pantomimes with Malcolm and Gary Cook from the staff many of whom are still at Doncaster Royal infirmary. Malcolm was a first class business manager with a talent to simply get things done. He was fundamental to the many plans that transformed the department of Medical Imaging in the 1990s and pivotal to the development of Doncaster Royal infirmary in its transition through DRIMH and subsequently to the Doncaster and Bassetlaw Hospitals trust with a huge expansion in service delivery, delivered at pace and with integriity . As Malcolm’s cooperating clinical director I relied greatly on his support and expertise. Malcolm was a very social individual and I know he will greatly missed by his many friends ,family and colleagues.

So so sorry to hear about this. My genuine sincere condolences to all Malc’s family and his sister’s Denices family. My best loyal mate at Armthorpe Comp from day 1 in year 1, just clicked and through the years beyond !! Absolute fantastic memories of both our early years that will always be with me forever. Staying with Malc at Blaxton with his Mum, Dad, and ‘little’ sister Denise, great times, apart from the horse riding!! Saturday’s heading into Doncaster, mornings at The Top Rank on Silver Street, followed by Burger & Ice Cream Float at Wimpey’s and then mulling around The Arndale Centre in our gear then off to visiting his Mum & Dad selling Celery on Donny Market, what day’s. So much more to tell !! such a sad loss to a great genuine human being. Rest in peace Malc.
