It is with great sadness and a wealth of fond memories that we say goodbye to Dave, a true Westbury legend who was the absolute heart of the school. He was the most down-to-earth, straight-talking bloke you could ever meet, with a rare, effortless ability to make everyone feel instantly welcome. Whenever old school friends catch up and look back on our days at Westbury, Dave’s name is always one of the first to come up with genuine warmth and a smile. Beyond his comforting presence, Dave looked after us in the best way possible—brewing the perfect cuppa and serving up the absolute best toast imaginable. In fact, many of us still credit our own toast-making skills entirely to his expert instruction. Dave was a genuinely good bloke who kept us grounded and looked out for us, and while he will be deeply missed, his memory and his legendary legacy will live on in all of us.
