Nigel and I sang with the choir at church in Islamabad, and put on house concerts at various diplomat homes in the area. Along with Barry Collins, Bob and Linda Nachtrieb and Virginia Morgan, we entertained small and large groups with folk, rock, bluegrass and gospel music and plenty of humor. Heaven has gained a great tenor and a brilliant soul.

Dear Valerie, Michael, Caroline and family,

We are so sorry to have learned that Nigel has passed. Nigel was a music buddy of ours in Pakistan. Music buddies are in our hearts forever even when we lose email contact.

Nigel was a gentle Geordie who delighted us with songs of Newcastle, Scottish Child Ballads, Irish and British traditional folk music. In addition he was a rock and roller who played wonderful guitar and sang both tenor and bass vocals. What more could our music group wish for?

We will celebrate Nigel at home on January 20 by playing all of his recorded audio and watching some of the band's performances on DVD. He lives on in our memories.

Dear Valerie please do accept our deepest sympathies and extend our condolences to your family as well. I have only met him briefly at South Kensington Station. He seemed a very mild mannered gentleman. God has blessed you both with loving children and grand children. No more pain and one day you are going to see your husband in heaven. May his soul rest in PEACE. GOD BLESS RANJINI SPENCER
