Myfanwy Mary Lee (1 Aug 1923 - 22 Nov 2025)

In loving memory of Myfanwy Mary Lee who sadly passed away on 22nd November 2025. Myfanwy was born Myfanwy Mary Harper on August 1st 1923 at Winkhill, in Staffordshire. She left School at 14 and went to work at New Lodge in service to the family who lived there. At 16 she moved to train as a nurse at Bretby Hospital in Burton-on-Trent later on to be drafted as an auxiliary nurse to Hodnet Hall, Shropshire, during WW11. In 1942 she married George Edward Lee who was serving in the Royal Navy and in 1944 gave birth to a daughter. At the end of the war they moved to Hatton in Derbyshire. 1948 saw the birth of a second daughter and later they moved to live in Burton-on-Trent, then Lincoln and finally, Upper Poppleton, York.
During this time she was quite active in her church, became a keen player of golf and won several trophies whilst a member at Bretby Golf Club, and played bridge. She loved music, singing in the church choir, playing the organ and electronic keyboard and going to dancing classes with Dad. A beautiful lady who will be very much missed by her family.
