We are sending so much Love to Clare, Tilly, Ashley and Margaret. We are grateful to have known Ashley and shared many happy Southwold memories with him. He always brought us a smile and a laugh. We loved hearing about his life and hard work. His love of the outdoors was infectious. We wish you much Joy and Love Ashley on your onward journey.

Ashley - a true legend.
Having known you for over 53 years during my time with Walter & Forknall and subsequently with Sibley Pares, it was always great to spend time with you and have a laugh as you and your side kick, Harry, tackled with such laid back skill, professionalism and humour all manner of jobs we pitched at you.
Aside from “work” I frequently think back to all the fun we had on “reward and bonus” trips to some of London’s more dubious entertainment venues along with other places around the south east.
To this day I have never forgotten, and utilise, skills and shortcuts you taught me, such as repairing and re-hanging doors and repairing slate roofs; using a “spike” and post rammer to make good damaged fencing and a myriad of other things which over the years, have saved me a small fortune.
Oh - and l must also mention making good damaged sash windows needing re-cording ……….. and requiring the use of a “mouse” !!
Actually a tip I gave to someone not so long ago !!
Ash, I’m sorry I can’t be with you today to wish you well but I’m not going to say “be good” as that’s not your style and anyway it probably wouldn’t be fun !!!
👍😉
