It is with a heavy heart that we announce the sad passing of Audrey Evelyn Stacey (nee Barfoot), at her beloved Ashwood Care Home in Shirley, on Saturday 22nd November 2025 - aged 93!
She was surrounded with love by the staff and family. Audrey was a little lady with a huge character and a zest for life, and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A celebration of Audrey's life will be held on Monday 22nd December 1.45pm at the East Chapel, Southampton Crematorium. Family flowers only please and any cheque donations to towards the purchase of a bench for Ashwood Care Home, can be made payable to "Jonathan Terry Funeral Directors". Otherwise donations to Audrey's chosen charities being Macmillan Cancer or Dementia UK - again via Jonathan Terry Independent Funeral Directors Ltd, 101 Peartree Avenue, Bitterne, Southampton SO19 7JJ -

What an absolute delight it was to care for Audrey ! Such an amazing woman with a brilliant personality. She was so caring and so kind, forever smiling, laughing and of course singing ! I looked forward to getting her ready in the mornings us picking out outfits, make up on and hair done she always loved to look so nice. Missing you so much Audrey rest easy your forever in our hearts❤️

Our little Audrey who i called Our Ganster Granny at Ashwood as when i joined for 4 years ago she loved a swear word and she was right up my street .Audrey would pick you up when you was down with the way she presented herself and aways put a smile back on your face . Audrey will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege to know her and im so glad I had the privilege to care for her and call her one of mine own. Rest easy up there
