In loving memory of George Cruickshanks, 59, who sadly passed away on 3rd November 2025. George was a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle and grandfather.

Dad was a man of generosity, warmth, and integrity, who devoted his life to his family and friends. He was always smiling and up for a good time, and he encouraged us to live life to the fullest. He taught us to face challenges head-on, and no matter how hard things seemed, to remain positive. He believed we could achieve anything if we put our minds to it.

Dad was one of the kindest people we knew. Growing up with little, he always reminded us to be giving and thoughtful of others, knowing we never truly know what someone else may be going through. He was always ready to help, share, and give without expectation.

For those who may have been thinking of sending flowers, thank you. If you wish, donations to the British Heart Foundation would be a lovely way to honour Dad’s memory. Heart disease has touched our family personally, so supporting BHF feels especially meaningful to us.

Dad’s love, guidance, and encouragement will stay with us forever. He taught us how to live fully, face life with courage, and we will carry his spirit with us always.

Rest in peace, Dad. We know we’ll see you again xxxx

Thank you to everyone for the love and support we have received over the past couple of weeks. Your messages, visits, and gestures have meant so much to us during this difficult time.

Very sorry to hear this sad news. I had the pleasure to work with George a few years ago. He had such warm personality and always went out of his way to mentor others. The team always spoke to highly of him. He will be greatly missed.

I’m so sorry to hear of George’s passing. I had the privilege of working with him a few years ago on a project and got to know him a little during that time. I echo everyone’s sentiments—he was such a warm, friendly, and caring person, and it was clear that his family was at the heart of everything he did. May he rest in peace.

So terribly sorry to hear about George. Karen and girls - I can’t imagine how shocked, saddened and scared you must all be feeling, but I hope that the many many happy memories you must have of George will slowly start to help you at this time and going forward. Talk about him, talk to him and know that he will always be with you xxx
