I have only just been told about this sad and heartbreaking news. Ian was one of the most brilliant people I have ever had the pleasure to work for and to call friend. He was so motivated and so dedicated to everything he did and although he faced multiple medical issues he faced everything with strength and resilience. I haven't seen or spoken to Ian since 2016, unfortunately we didn't part ways on the best terms which is heartbreaking and a tragic lesson in mending fences and relationships whilst you have the chance. I always loved him no matter what and would reminisce often about him and the good times.he taught me everything I know about hospitality and business management. He was always keen to develop people and share his experience.
Ian you were always the strongest, most driven and most caring and generous person I knew. I regret so much and wish I could sit down with you now. My heart is broken and my life forever changed by knowing you. My thoughts are with your family who I know that you adored. I hope you have the peace you never found in life. I'll always keep you with me. See you on the pineapple Express in the sky mate
