Nardien Parthasarathy, born on 2 April 1931, went to be with her Lord and Saviour on 28 October 2025, at the age of 94. Though her passing leaves a deep ache in the hearts of those who loved her, we rejoice that she is now at home in glory. Our loss is truly heaven’s gain.

From a young age, Nardien encountered the love of Jesus, a love that shaped every chapter of her life. Her faith was never merely believed; it was joyfully lived. She carried Christ wherever she went, speaking of Him naturally, tenderly, and boldly. To meet her was to meet someone who knew Jesus well.

She trained and worked as a nurse and midwife, dedicating her vocation to caring for others with gentle hands and a compassionate heart. Her love for people was evident, whether tending to patients, praying with friends, or stopping to speak words of encouragement to a stranger.

Nardien was blessed with two children, Shaefali and Ravi, and treasured her role as grandmother to her three dearly loved grandchildren. Her family, both biological and spiritual, was immeasurably enriched by her warmth, humour, and steadfast prayers. She became an honorary mother and grandmother to many, welcoming others into her heart as if they were her own.

One of her greatest passions was prayer, especially for the Church. She carried the burdens of others before the Lord, faithfully interceding for lives to be touched and souls to come to know Jesus. Her gentle witness and radiant devotion left a mark on countless people over the years.

Nardien lived a life well lived: full of grace, full of love, and full of Jesus. Though she has finished her earthly race, her legacy continues to blossom in the lives of all who were blessed to know her.

We look forward to the day when we are reunited with her in the presence of the One she loved most.
