I was Jussy’s carer, but she cared for me just as much. She had the biggest heart, spreading love and happiness wherever she went. Jussy made me feel at home and truly loved, something I’ll never forget. She’ll always hold a special place in my heart. So blessed to have known such a beautiful soul. Lots of love ♥️

I would just like to share how lovely and beautiful my Auntie Jussy was, so kind and I am glad I got to see and chat with her one more time and give her a hug at my cousin's engagement party.

I would like to share how lovely, kind and welcoming Jussy (and Avtar) were to me when I was married to Anup.

We used to go to their house a lot and go shopping in Nottingham with Jussy and the children.

I also loved meeting Jussy's family who were also kind and welcoming to me.

My older brother married my sister-in-law Barjai Jaswant Kaur in Uganda in 1962 and had the two elder daughters Narinder and Cheena. I was already in Cambridge having left Kenya in July 1966 when my older bother Avtar who informed me that he will sent Jaswant with the daughters in 1967 late and will join in a month's time.

I collected Bharjai and the girls from the sirport who were realy young aged 4yrs and 3yrs. They stayed with me two weeks before I took them to Nottingham where my bother joined them two weeks later. They settled there and Kannu was born in Nottigham in August 1972 and the family was complete.

Later years in 1994 my brother passed away and then my Sister-in-law took over the running of the vegetarian restaurant and kept the succesful business running. That in itself is no mean feat for anyone, that truly showed the determination and the character to achieve it. She was a good cook anyway even at the time of marrying my brother and the cooking skills were apparent later too in running the restaurant. How lucky we were to have savoured the delights of her cooking.

We will miss her and the legacy she leaves behind we should admire.

May Wheguru bless her soul and rest in peace.

Anup

We had many lunches at Tangoe in Leicester, she loved her chilli paneer, sambar and carrot and orange juice.
