Danny Brailsford (7 Oct 1950 - 19 Oct 2025)

About 8 years ago Danny, James Bradshaw and myself went to a Sky Sports event for Northern football club fans regarding the laws of the game and referees’ decision making. A senior Premier League referees chief did a video demo of referee decisions at corners. Danny, a former referee, challenged the Prem League referees’ assessment of penalty area fouls - Danny disagreed with the Premier League Refs chief - Danny said there were penalty offences at every corner. I’ve always admired the impressive way Danny challenged that Premier League Refs chief and I was proud that he did so as a Millers fan.

Sorry we couldn't make it to say goodbye Danny but thinking of all the good times we had at Scholes and with the Locusts. Miss you. DC
