Dear Clare and family we are so sorry to hear of Mikes passing. Mike will be missed by us both. Mike together with Chris made a huge contribution towards bat conservation with talks, roost visits, surveys and bat care. They leave a legacy that will live on.

Mike and Chris dedicated a huge amount of their time to bat conservation in Hampshire and leave behind a legacy of inspired conservationists that carry the bat baton forward. Both are greatly missed.

My sympathies go to the ones he left behind, it’s hard to deal with the loss of a Dad. Look to each other for comfort and support.

Many fond memories of Mike, learning and sharing our knowledge and love of nature. Otter surveys on the Itchen were an adventure we both enjoyed together. Great man in so many ways, deepest sympathies to Clare and his family.
