Philip made us feel welcome, part of the family and he was generous with his time. His friendly banter, quick wit and sense of humour made us laugh with him. It was very obvious that he loved and treasured his family. Our deepest condolences Jackie and family on Philips passing.

We’ve known the Tedder family for over 36 years. Our first friends after moving in to the village from Holland. Jackie is Godmother to our daughter Amanda and Philip did numerous ‘jobs’ around our house including mending a leaking kitchen flat roof, plastering walls in Amanda’s bedroom after it all came off during decorating but the one that we will remember for ever is when he converted the loft for a children’s playroom. This involved fitting a wooden, double glazed, velux window which he carried on his back, up a ladder and on to the roof! All in a days work for Philip. A generous and kind man who will be solely missed by all that knew him. Rest in peace.

I feel privileged to have known Phil, didn’t know him long and only thru golf. But I loved playing with him in the draw a Kly GC. So helpful and we had some good times. RIP my friend 😥

I have very happy memories of Philip as a parent of children at Glusburn Primary School.
He was always caring and courteous and he used to come into school to give lessons on brick laying.
My sincere sympathy goes to Jackie and all of Philip's lovely family. May he now rest in peace. He is leaving so many happy memories for all who knew him.

Oh my darling, what can I say.
My heart is broken and my tears run freely but oh the memories I have of our 49 years together.
You battled so hard to stay with us but it wasn't to be.
Rest in peace now my darling.
You will be forever in my heart and my love will never cease. Xxx
