In loving memory of Elsie May Spencer who sadly passed away on 5th October 2025, aged 97 years.
Elsie was born in Lavenham Suffolk, in 1928, she was one of a twin. She also had 2 other brothers, tragically her mother passed away when Elsie was young, her father placed her in Dr Barnardo's children’s home, which Elsie loved and didn’t want to leave when her farther cam to collect her and take her home.
In her younger years she worked in a factory making undergarments for the military, she would ride her bike and hear the doodle bugs coming and she would say out loud “don’t stop, don’t stop!”
She met a local lad who she later married and had 2 children.
She then met another lad who she married and moved and settled in Luton, she then had 5 more children, and she worked as a cook in the Beverly hotel which she really enjoyed.
She then retired to Morecambe, when her husband passed away, she met a local gentle man who became her companion, they later married.
After a few years her husband passed, she decided she wanted to come home to Suffolk, she moved back to partridge court where she made some great friends and enjoyed an active social life, which gave her lots of laughs and smiles.
She leaves behind a big family, of Children, Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, and Great, Great, Grandchildren, who will miss her deeply

She Is Gone" by David Harkins You can shed tears that she is gone Or you can smile because she has lived You can close your eyes and pray that she will come back Or you can open your eyes and see all that she has left Your heart can be empty because you can't see her Or you can be full of the love that you shared

Memories we made, became extra special, when you made them with your great grandchildren. Jacob hadn’t forgotten your bet, he said but that’s okay , and your china doll does have the blonde hair and blue eyes you said she would. Best last memory 🥰
