Left this life on 25th September 2025, peacefully at Garlands Care Home, Heckmondwike, after living with Dementia. David was the beloved dad of Rachel Jayne and Martyn and grandad of Harvey, Bethany and Lorna. He was a life time vice President of the County FA and more latterly a member of Dewsbury Evangelical Church, having come to faith shortly after his dementia diagnosis. Now David is forever with the Lord, which is better by far! No more dementia, no more tears.

I worked alongside David at UK Greetings, he was a great person to work with. It's so sad that he suffered from dementia as he was such such s bright, intelligent person.

Aw, thankyou for commenting. He retained his smile and ability to laugh until almost the end. He had moments of lucidity where dementia's grip loosened and he was still very much my dad. If you would like to attend the Thanksgiving Service, send me a personal message with contact details 😊
