David Deeprose (2 Mar 1959 - 1 Oct 2025)

In loving memory of David Deeprose who sadly passed away on 1st October 2025 - David was not only my husband, he was my soul mate and my very best friend and will be missed beyond measure - he was my everything. He loved his fishing, pupsters, family & me - I always put me last but know in reality that he always put me first.

David’s initial lung cancer diagnosis came exactly a year ago, he fought beyond belief firstly enduring chemo, followed by sepsis just before Christmas, blood transfusions and then surgery at Guys in March - he was so optimistic that his recovery was going well until he fell ill again in August when our world was shattered as he was told he had secondaries which were untreatable. He had nothing but praise for all the medical profession at Medway, Guys and the Wisdom Hospice - my heartfelt thanks go to all the teams who made this difficult journey a little easier with their empathy, smiles and utter professionalism.

David was adamant he didn’t want a fuss made at his funeral, but I feel his life needs to be celebrated. All are welcome to come along to say their farewells and share anecdotes, no formal dress code. In line with David’s wishes we ask for no flowers but if you are able to make a small contribution to The Wisdom Hospice that would be greatly appreciated in order for them to continue their invaluable work.
