CELEBRATION OF LIFE - FRIDAY 7th NOVEMBER @ 1300hr - MEDWAY CREMATORIUM

It’s with deep regret that I have to say our wonderful Mum, Dolores “Dee” Knowles passed away on Friday 26th September after a short battle with an infection.

She drifted off surrounded by her family telling lovely stories about her, sharing childhood memories and playing her favourite songs.

She was an amazing Mum, Nan (Nanny Dee), Great Nan, Sister, God Mother, Aunty and friend to everyone she met.

She will be missed and mourned by everyone whose life she touched and who met her.

The Celebration of Life will be held at Medway Crematorium on Friday 7th November at 1300hrs with the celebration to continue afterwards at The White Horse, High Street, Rainham. Anyone travelling to the celebration afterwards is advised to use one of the neighbouring car parks in the town as space is limited at the venue.

You are invited to wear what you’re comfortable in, as that is how Mum lived her life.

Mum’s Children, Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren were such a large part of her life but, more than that, the Children of Rainham were also a part of her life; having worked in both Mierscourt and St Margaret’s Schools over the last 29 years and so, in place of floral tributes, should you wish to make a donation, a memorial page is being set up in due course for donations to My Shining Star.

Our sincere condolences to Luke, Nicola and the Knowles family for the loss of Rosemary. May her memory be blessed.

Dee, affectionately known to us all at St Margaret's Infant School as Nanny Dee, was a much loved member of our school family for many years. Working in the canteen, she brought warmth, kindness and a cheerful spirit to everyone she met. Her laughter often filled the corridors and her caring nature made her a friend to both children and staff alike.

Each day Dee would pass my door with a cheery hello, a small gesture that never failed to brighten the day. She had a special gift for making people feel seen and valued and her positivity touched the lives of all who knew her.

Dee often spoke with pride and affection about her children and grandchildren, who were clearly the centre of her world. Her love for her family shone through in everything she did.

We will miss her laughter, kindness and warmth and she will be remembered with love and gratitude by everyone at St Margaret's Infant School.
