In loving memory of David Alan French who peacefully passed away on 22nd September 2025.

A great teller of his hilarious encounters and stories with an enormous mind full of information and attention to detail. Dad's passion for photography and the magic of developing he taught me enabled us to spend time together developing and printing. From this wonderful experience I would also form a career through him.

Dad has left a huge irreplaceable void in our lives. We were a great gang and will continue to strive to carry on his legacy.

I hope this will enable those to share their memories and photos with us, especially those over a cup of tea and biscuits, arm wrestling for an SHC, quiz nights and bonfires on the beach.

If you are able to join us to celebrate his life please confirm your attendance and we look forward to hearing your memories.

Should you wish to donate in David's memory, beneficiaries are Guys Oncology and Darent Valley Hospital who provided David with exceptional care.

Many thanks, Lucy French

Dear David he was a legend in the industry and part of that happy throng with AllProps next door. Always informative, entertaining and made that extra effort which made my day when I was a busy young buyer running in and out trying to find numerous pieces of equipment which all work together - he will be sorely missed x

I always enjoyed visiting David, Lucy and Matthew. I could stay for hours listening to David's stories and talking all things cameras and lenses.
He was a well of information and also loved learning about new technology all the time.
I feel lucky to have known him even if it was just for a short time.
