Funeral Director
In loving memory of David Collins who sadly passed away on 15th September 2025
10-10-1949 to 15-09-2025. David was born in All Saints hospital. He spent the first 4 years living in Walderslade there with his family, dad, mum and sisters Betty and Mary. We moved to Bredhurst were he lived until he got married. He had a happy childhood there and went to Bredhurst school until 11 years old. Then went to Orchard street school until he left and went to work with his dad and become a tree surgeon. He loved the outdoor life, he kept pigs and chicken as a teenager. He married Lorry and three children, Elizabeth, Tracey Anne and Jasmine, and lived in Newington until he got divorce. Later married Teresa Apps and he had two children from this marriage, Joe and Rachel. Where David moved to Kemsley. Growing up Jasmine lived in Newington with David and mum Lorry, until she was around 3. David was always working either for J Dowles or for himself no matter what the weather, he was always out in the woods cutting down trees or making fence posts. He loved his trucks especially his transit. He also loved his tractors and owned a few over the years. David loved going to the stables, watching his grandchildren and daughters ride. He would also take Jasmine to shows as a child. He loved his food and tea with 3 sugars. As David got older with his arthritis you could see he was in pain but he never moaned about it just soildered through. He was always cracking jokes with his children and grandchildren, along with tripping us over and saying we walked into his feet.
