Janet Jacques sadly and unexpectedly passed away on 15th August 2025.

She led a fun-filled life. She loved spending time with family and friends, playing sport, bridge, visiting places and going on holiday and just chatting.

Her funeral is 12 noon Tuesday 9th September at Bramcote Crematorium with all invited afterwards to The Wollaton.

Janet always had an entertaining story to tell. At the funeral reception, we're going to try and create a storyboard of some of her stories. If you've a story that Janet told you, or of Janet, that you'd like to share on this, please kindly write it down and bring it along to the funeral for the storyboard or send to us by clicking on the "Contact Obituary Owner" link above.

Janet loved sport. She believed really strongly that if you learnt to play a sport as a child it potentially gave you a life-time of enjoyment and friends. We've, therefore, chosen as a charity for donations "Women in Sport" (https://womeninsport.org/who-we-are/about-us/). Its vision is "that no-one is excluded from the joy, fulfilment and lifelong benefits of sport.", something of which Janet would definitely support.

Lynda Williscroft donated £25 in memory of Janet

We moved to Nottingham in 1980 and we have been friends and neighbours for most of that time.
Every time we drive past Janet’s house, it is difficult to remember that she is not there.
A lovely lady who will be sorely missed by so many. Rest in peace Janet.
Our thoughts are with Emma and Thomas and their families. Lynda, Bill, Andrew and Lucy Williscroft x
