In loving memory of Mary Dalziel who sadly passed away on 16th August 2025, aged 84 years.
My Mum was born in the Gorbals, the youngest of three sisters and while her father was away at war as an artillery gunner, her mother Charlotte passed away and the family was split up. Brought up by her cousin and her cousin's husband they would look after her until her early teens.
My Mum was a feisty and no nonsense type of women who basically spoke her mind and was quick to respond to people, a typical east end woman who said it like it was and didn't suffer fools. She had cracking neighbours when she lived in Carntyne, especially Maggie McLaughlin. She missed my Dad who passed away in 1990 but found companionship with a Yorkshireman named Harry that she went on holiday with and loved to plant flowers in the garden with.
She loved her family, her children, her grandchildren and her great grandchildren and would love to see them anytime they visited. She also loved dogs, always having dogs in the house until she got a little more infirm where she couldn't handle them.
She will be with many friends and family including my Dad, my Sister, my Brother and my Nephew.
All welcome after the service at the Woodend Pub, Hamilton Road.
