Born in Windsor in 1947, he grew up in Berkshire before building a life with his beloved wife, Janet.
He worked with British Rail for most of his career, respected for his selflessness, humour, and quiet strength.
He loved football, classic cars, real ale, guitar, crosswords, and his friends “3:45” pub tradition.
Michael was a man of principle — generous, honest, and unafraid to speak his mind.
He faced illness with courage, valuing every shared moment with family.
He adored his grandchildren and took great pride in his sourdough bread.
Michael was loved deeply and will be remembered with warmth and gratitude.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and lasting memories.
