In loving memory of our wonderful and beautiful mum, Eileen Wells, who sadly passed away suddenly on 17th July 2025 in the Critical Care Unit at Southend Hospital due to complications relating to her Ulcerative Colitis. We have asked for donations in place of flower tributes because we would like any funds raised to go to Little Havens Hospice so that the money can help children and their families while they endure the toughest time in their lives. Mum absolutely loved children, she had 3 daughters, 5 granddaughters, 2 great-grandsons and 2 great-granddaughters and she loved us all with her whole heart. Even though mum had 3 children of her own, this did not deter her from becoming a foster parent to many children for quite a few years when we were young and so we did not need to think too hard when deciding on which charity to support in mums memory. As a family we appreciate all the lovely messages and support that we are receiving and that if you would like to attend the funeral then everyone is more than welcome. Thank you Deana, Kerry, Nicola and Families xx

Nicola Wells donated £100 in memory of Eileen

We received £100 in cash donations in the chapel. This is a great amount to receive and added to what has been donated online this bring the total money raised to £400 in memory of our beautiful mum Eileen. As a family we would like to thank everyone for their donations, messages, support and love at this very sad time xx

My cousin, my friend, my sister we both never had. As war babies we shared our childhood, school years and teens with so much laughter and fun alongside our large family of aunts, uncles and cousins. So many happy memories. Our lives have woven in and out over the years, and over the last 18 years, reliving that childhood closeness. Our youngest daughters and grandchildren have embraced that closeness and are great pals. Sleep peacefully beautiful lady along with friends and family who loved you as well.
