Forever in our hearts.
It’s with great sadness and even greater love, that we share the passing of our wonderful mum, Mary.
Born in 1947 to Cypriot parents here in the UK, Mary spent most of her life on Canvey Island, close to the people she loved most. Family meant everything to her. She raised two children and was a proud grandmother to two grandchildren, all of whom were the light of her life.
Mary faced more than her fair share of challenges, particularly around her mental health. But through it all, she never gave up. She was a fighter, through and through — always managing to bounce back with resilience, strength, and that stubborn spark that made her who she was.
She kept that fight in her right until the very end.
We’ll remember her for her warmth, her honesty, her strength, and her fierce love for her family. She wasn’t perfect — none of us are — but she was ours, and we’ll miss her deeply.
Rest now, Mum. We’ll carry you with us, always.

Please note that Mum has requested that people do not wear black - as her wishes are that this be a celebration of life.
Mum has also asked for people to donate to cancer research if they wish to instead of flowers.
