In loving memory of our beautiful mum who slipped away from us on Thursday 10th July just after 6pm. Our mum was very courageous over the last few years of her life, coping with chronic back pain but still fiercely independent, she continued to walk her very much loved Harry daily and was most definitely determined to stay in her home of 57 years.
To us, her daughters, she was an amazing inspiration. She was funny, game for a laugh, occasionally rude and spoke her mind in that older person's way, highly sociable and just great company to be around. She was absolutely the best nanny and great grandma to all of our children and their children - so very much hands on.
Finally, there was not a day that went by that she didn't miss our dad, her beloved Ronnie, reunited at last.

For our wonderful, glorious and beautiful Nanny Irene. Thank you for being the best Nanny we could have wished for. We all adored you, and will cherish the memories we made together for a lifetime. I feel so lucky and blessed to have had you. I can still hear your chuckle, and see your smile as you came to greet us at your front door! We’ll keep eating white chocolate, and Sainsbury’s jam donuts in your honour, Nan! Love you and miss you forever and always Xx
