Steven Green was born on 30 June 1975, the elder of twins —a detail he never let his brother Tony forget. He was the beloved son of Pat and Lincoln, and from early on, was known for his energy, humour, and mischief.
He and Tony were inseparable growing up, constantly testing boundaries and keeping their parents on their toes. Steven attended St Joseph’s Primary and then St Joseph’s in Horwich, forming friendships that lasted a lifetime.
After school, both brothers began engineering apprenticeships with British Gas. Steven rose quickly, becoming the company’s youngest regional manager—a role he was incredibly proud of.
At 18, Steven met Terri, they married ten years later and soon welcomed daughters Libby and Darcey. Becoming a dad was one of Steven’s greatest joys—he threw himself into family life, whether that meant learning netball rules, mucking out ponies, or teaching his girls to ski.
Skiing became a huge passion, and he was a natural organiser—rallying friends for trips, including a legendary one to Canada.
Steven loved cars, gadgets, animals, and a good fancy dress outfit. His sense of style was entirely his own—bold, bright, and never boring. He was unapologetically himself.
Steven was a character—funny, chaotic, kind, and fiercely loyal. He will be remembered with love, laughter, and stories that will be told for years to come.
