I had the absolute pleasure of visiting Lew a few times and every visit was wonderful. Whether it was going through photo albums of his sign writing and artwork (which were fascinating and inspirational!) or just sitting in the garden chatting with a cuppa watching out for the fish in his pond and getting plant advice, I enjoyed our visits and have spoken of Lew fondly ever since.
My heartfelt condolences go to his family. Such a kind and lovely gentleman. Jodie x

Uncle Lewis was a great brother to my mum and a supportive uncle to myself and my brother Mark. We enjoyed our visits to Derby over the years and his visits to us in London. I remember walking through fields with him, his ferrets, and Sandy his labrador. These were precious times for us. He passed on his love of animals to me and his passion for art, also encouraging me with my music. He was a sensitive and artistic soul, in tune with nature and animals. We will miss him.

Lew.. such a lovely friend. A hard act to follow having so many talents. I will miss your smile and many chats we shared. The tunes you played on your harmonica.. Your love for wildlife and nature was inspiring. You had a special way with the birds.. Your art work and sign writing stood out above the rest. You were so positive and loved life. I will truly miss you. Rest in peace. xx
