All my memories of George are happy ones.
He lived an amazing life and I loved hearing his stories.
Our family were close to George & Cathy for over 40 years. As children they even looked after us when our parents went away. Always an eventful time as George was great company and could relate to every generation.
They came to all our family occasions from Birthdays to Weddings. We wouldn’t dream of not inviting them.
The last time we all went out for 'family' drinks was on his 100th birthday last year. A lovely evening with a true gentleman.
I’ll miss you George xxx

Dear George for many years you and Cathie were part of our family when you gave us invaluable help in the house and garden at Manor Court. How cheerfully and independently you lived those years after losing your beloved Cathie. I smile to remember your 70th birthday at our house when a bottle of your favourite scotch was consumed amongst us with much hilarity and David had to help get you home in the mobile home site 😉
Yes you were capable of a little harmless flirting With ladies who met you .. myself I will miss the hugs in the village when you were out and about doing your shopping.

I am so glad I had the opportunity to see you earlier in the year when your last words to me were “take care of yourself “
