In loving memory of Albert Allan ‘Abbie’ who sadly passed away on 8th July 2025, age 77.
Known for his funny stories, terrible jokes, and positive outlook. A man who truly loved life, he cherished time spent with family and friends.
He had a gift for talking to everyone he met, and his love of socialising meant his circle of friends was ever-growing.
He was a loving father, grandfather and partner, who leaves behind love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
He will be deeply missed.

Tuesdays walking and the afternoons in The Station can never be the same without you Abbie. Your quips - we only allowed you three - were legendary and your contributions to our lively dbates which put the world to rights will be missed.

You were such wonderfully, vibrant character Abbie with your stylish, eccentric ways. Always having a story to tell, there was never a dull moment when you were around. I’ll always remember you came knocking at my door 25 years ago when I lived in Brighton & introduced yourself as my second cousin! A total surprise but knowing you since then, I wouldn’t expect anything less. You will be so sorely missed, but I guess you went the way you lived your life.. full of energy, enjoying a good time & socialising to the very end. You will be treasured in our thoughts & never forgotten. Sending all our love Sharon, Yvonne & families xxx

We will miss Uncle Albert terribly, a wordsmith who brightened every occasion with love and truly terrible jokes, that we will all miss more than we expected.

Uncle Albert loved his family deeply. At every gathering he was quick with a pun, a hug and made sure no one ever left without a smile.

He will be missed more than words can say although he would probably suggest a pun about that, too.

In memory of a true character - Abbie was warm, friendly and so, so sociable, putting you at ease no matter what the occasion or how many years had passed. As cousins/second cousins, known affectionately in our family as the “Kent Crowd”, you will be missed but we know you’re in good company with our Mum, Dad, Catherine & of course your beautiful mum Mary. Sending all our love to his family and friends, Yvonne, Sharon and family xxx

You looked like a blonde Poirot university professor in your latter years Abbie!
We'll catch up with you in the next life and have a good old chin wag with you then! All our love. Kevin and Jan
