Peter Thomas, cherished father, beloved brother, Uncle, friend, and proud member of the Rugby Club, passed away peacefully just one day after his 70th birthday, 1st July 2025, after bravely battling health issues over recent years.
Peter was deeply admired for his strength, warmth, and resilience. His vibrant presence at the Rugby Club brought joy, camaraderie, and laughter to all who knew him. His courage in facing life’s challenges inspired everyone around him, leaving a lasting impact on the lives of many.
In his earlier years, Peter was profoundly grateful to the Royal Marsden Hospital, whose remarkable care helped him overcome a significant battle with cancer. In honour of Peter’s life and his enduring gratitude, the family kindly invites, without obligation, donations to be made to the Royal Marsden Hospital to support their continued life-saving work.
Peter’s legacy of courage, friendship, and love will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

I first met Peter in the late 70’s when we were both working for CE Heath in Southend. Always a pleasure to be in his company. An engaging character and a proper gent. He will be remembered well by all who knew him. I’m sorry that I am unable to attend the funeral. RIP Pete.
