Big Sis
I’m going to miss you so much but having a chance to talk to you two hours before you passed gave me the chance to tell you that I would always be here for and your girls and that “ I loved you “ and that I would see you soon. Not knowing that that would be my last chance.

Sylvia wasn’t just a friend — she was my friend. We met back in the ’70s, bonded over life, laughter, and having our firstborns at the same time. From the very start, she was someone who carried herself with grace. Always so nicely spoken, always looking effortlessly put together — and always quick with a funny line that made you laugh without warning.

We shared many lovely nights out over the years, and plenty of memories in between — from the occasional drink to years of going to the clairvoyant together and conversations that could’ve gone on forever. Life eventually took us down different paths, as it does, but we never lost touch. And every time we spoke or met again, it was as if no time had passed at all.

Sylvia absolutely adored her daughter and granddaughter — they were her everything, her pride and joy. And it was always so clear how much love surrounded her, just as much as she gave out.

I feel very lucky to have known her, and I’ll always carry those memories of laughter, love, and friendship in my heart.
Carol

To a dear Sister who is already missed so much. Sylvia was taken from us so tragically after an accident whilst doing one of her special things, going on a cruise. May God bless you and keep good care of you until we meet again.
