  • The first ones are the hardest, and Christmas then New Year's eve, my wife's birthday is 14th March, same as your mums. Best wishes

I'll remember Uncle Nigel as a lovely and very funny person. Lot's of laughter. I have fond memories of childhood Christmases playing video games on the Mega Drive in Grandma's kitchen (Micro Machines!), and some great holidays too.

Have wonderful memories of family holidays as a kid with Nigel, and pub lunches in more recent years. A wonderful Uncle. Will be greatly missed.

Very sad to see nidge suffer over this last year, nidge was a big part of my life from when we started at baddesley as 16 year old pretending to be fitters to nearly 70 year old pretending to be golfers at lea marsden pitch n putt making a bad job of both. There was a 30 year gap in between when left tamworth but I always kept in touch by phone and on my visits back he was the first I spent time with.he had a great sense of humour and loved a joke there were times at lea marsden when we would be rolling around the floor in laughter at our ineptitude , he was my best mate and thoughts and condolences go out to his family..xxx

  • It is so sad Julie and nidge have gone far to soon. I think of the times we all had when we were all young and starting out. It's really hard to believe they were taken so young. In my thoughts Edie xx

  • So sorry for your loss, every day with Nigel was an adventure and hadn't seen him for 10 years but he was in regular contact if only to tell me Jane Mcdonald was on TV again, he worked with me and for me and regailed me with stories of his coach trips to Spain which invariably went wrong, we compared illnesses and medications, ive no one to compare notes with now. I sent him his 1st ever text msg in 1999, he rang me asking how I'd done it. R.I.P nige
