Russell it’s so hard to believe you have passed, some days I really don’t believe it the I remember the horrible truth that you really have gone.!I wish so much that I could have done more and hope you do remember I was with you for months until my own health was causing me so may struggles. I really thought that after I called the ambulance for you and they said at hospital that I saved your life it was true but devastatingly it did not help in the end as you went over a year in so much pain and discomfort, I really wish that I could have taken it away from you. I love, think about you everyday and will for the rest of my life. I hope you are with mum and Marimba xx

Russell was my school friend. I remember once he asked me to come with him to visit his sister Melissa. He picked me up in a little white van with Bobby Brown blaring out the stereo 😁 I swear he drove over speed humps at 90mph! I left my seat 4 times, we were in stitches!!
Russ was the kindest, loveliest man who cared deeply, and always walked me home at night time to make sure I got home safely. I was very lucky to have had Russ as my friend 🥰 Until we meet again, lots of love ❤️

Russ, you was this boy with a cheeky grin that would say hello to me & who later your brother introduced me to. So many memories, from popping round to visit us for a chat, to keeping me company when your brother was away, to some of the funniest moments we had with you on our holidays, to bearing witness to some of my earlier cooking disasters & even telling me off because you cared. I’m lucky to have had you as my brother-in-law, taken far too soon, going to miss that grin & twinkle in the eye. Love you & rest in peace xx

In Loving Memory of Russell — The Ultimate Windup Merchant

To Russell — the best windup merchant in the business. A man with a legendary “Can-Do” attitude, unmatched patience, and a knack for fixing what others had long given up on.

When things went wrong, Russell was the one you called. While others stood scratching their heads, he was already elbows-deep in the problem, quietly working it out with calm determination. If a bucket of water was needed, he’d find one full of holes — and instead of tossing it aside, he’d patch it up, test it, and make it hold water like it was brand new. That was Russell: resourceful, relentless, and always ready to go the extra mile.

But Russell wasn’t just a fixer — he was a hustler too. Not in the shady sense, but in the way he’d casually stroll up to a pool table, cue in hand, and clear the table before you’d even chalked your stick. A true shark in disguise, with a grin that said, “Just one more game?”

His patience, his humour, his quiet brilliance — they made him one of a kind. He didn’t just solve problems; he made people believe they could be solved. And he did it all with a twinkle in his eye and a joke on his lips.

Russell, your legacy lives on in every patched-up bucket, every fixed fuse, and every story told around a pool table. You’ll be missed more than words can say.
