James William Brown (28 Mar 1947 - 28 May 2025)

In loving memory of James William Brown “Jim” who passed away suddenly but peacefully on 28th May 2025.

Jim was a joker and always had a story to tell about growing up in Merryoak with his siblings Sid and Doris, from his time working at Southampton Docks or from his time at sea and the different places he visited.

Jim was a hard worker, working as a painter and decorator for many years before retiring in 2011.

Jim was a keen gardener and could regularly be found in his garden which he took great pride and pleasure in often with one of his grandchildren giving him a helping hand or having a five minute nap.

A devoted husband to Anne, Dad to Wendy and Michael, Father-in-law to Craig and Hannah, Grandad to Rebecca, Ashley, Charlie and James. Pops to Natalya, Luke and Max.

He will be greatly missed, forever remembered and carried in our hearts.
