On Tuesday 17th June 2025, Anthony ‘Tony’ Jones passed away peacefully at home in Thornhill, Dewsbury, aged 76, after a short illness.

A dearly loved husband to Barbara, a devoted dad to Beverley, and a proud, much-loved grandad to Fiona, Clare, Hanna, Lewis, and Bethan. Tony was also a treasured great-grandad to Ashton, Daisy, Spencer, Halle, Cohen, and Heidi, who brought so much happiness into his life.

Tony will be remembered for his kindness, strength, and the love and support he gave so freely to his family and friends. He leaves behind a legacy of warmth, laughter, and lasting memories.

A service to honour and celebrate Tony’s life will take place at Dewsbury Moor Crematorium on Monday 21st July 2025 at 12.30pm. All who knew him are warmly invited to attend.

Family flowers only, please. Donations in memory of Tony can be made online or left in the collection box at the service for the benefit of The Kirkwood, whose support was deeply appreciated.

Following the service, we welcome everyone to join us in celebrating Tony’s life at Thornhill Edge Working Men’s Club — a place close to his heart where he spent much of his time.
