Funeral Director
In loving memory of Ronald Frederick Hill who sadly passed away on 18th June.
Update: today I took £200 collected at the funeral, to the Havens Hospices (in memory of Ron) and it will eventually be added to the online total. Thank you to everyone.
Whenever or wherever you met Ron, you were sure to remember him!
He was one of 'the greats' of the Sealed Knot (a 17th Century re-enactment society) of which he had been a member for over fifty years. He was also as comfortable dressed as a padre in WW2 attire too and was often seen at various events.
Over recent years his love of folk music led him to join and sing with the Hoy Shanty Crew - based in his beloved home town - Leigh-on-sea, in Essex.
His passion for heritage steam railways was well-known and he assisted in the carriage restoration work of the Lynton & Barnstable Railway.
He was a husband, brother, father, grandfather and great grandfather, who always lived life to the full and will be greatly missed by many.
His funeral and streaming details are as follows:
15:00pm on Friday 18th July, at Bowers Gifford (Basildon) Crematorium - Riverview Chapel.

All are welcome.
