In loving memory of Jaimee Simpson who sadly passed away on 12th June 2025 following a short illness.
Jaimee came into the world on 10th May 1977, completing John & Susan Simpson's family of four girls; joining Yvonne, Jennifer & Amanda.
Jaimee went to school at Annesley Primary & Ashfield Comprehensive, going onto to study Social Work at Bristol University. She remained in Bristol working as a key worker supporting vulnerable people in the community, until she moved back to Nottingham to be closer to her family & support her mum.
Over the last 7 years Jaimee put her caring nature into supporting those in need of help as an Advisor at the Citizens Advice Bureau
To say Jaimee was the adored baby of the family is an understatement. She was the closest daughter to her mum; she was her rock through the sad years of dad’s dementia & Parkinson’s and following his death in 2015 and she was her best friend.
Jaimee was the most loving cat owner. She leaves behind her beloved Mr Tybalt (Mr Tybs).
Her laughter was infectious and her sense of humour infamous, along with the occasional grumpiness 😊.
Jaimee was a special daughter, wonderful sister & amazing aunt to Thomas & Charlotte and great aunt to Evi & Arlo.
She will be missed by all who shared a part of her life.
Jaimee’s funeral & celebration of her life will be held on Friday 11th July at 1pm, Mansfield & District Crematorium, Derby Road, Mansfield, NG18 5BJ.
After at Il Rosso, 180 Nottingham Road, Mansfield, NG18 4AF.
Please let us know if you’ll be attending by clicking on the Attend the Funeral button.
We would ask that flowers are limited to immediate family only. However, if you would like to make a donation, please could you do so via Graham Ward funeral directors. All donations will be given to Hogarth Ward, City Hospital, Nottingham; a ward specific to cancer treatment. They took the greatest care of Jaimee, mum and us girls with respect, kindness & compassion, allowing Mr Tybs to visit & say goodbye.
