Dear Barry, I had the pleasure of meeting you only a handful of memorable times, your wit and sense of humour radiated out to everyone around that was near you. You became a member of my family when you was the man that tamed my great aunty Christine, she was feisty, out spoken, but so am I, runs in the family, we had some fantastic chats on the few occasions we met, but I am most grateful for the opportunity I had to help give you that special motorbike ride, with my neighbour, before I even met you. Deepest sympathy to all the family, and finally a belated birthday kiss with hugs to you also xxx

It still doesn’t feel right that you are gone, you were special to so many of us. Our general, our guidance, you taught me many things in life. You will always remain my idol, you never let life defeat you, you were strong and we all love you. Rest in peace Grandad, you was loved by so many, and will remain loved until we meet again. 💔
