In loving memory of Michael 'Mike' Bruce Guy who sadly passed away on 21st May 2025. Mike’s funeral service will be held at The Oaks, Havant Crematorium on Friday 27th June 2025 at 1 pm. No floral tributes by family request, however donations if desired for Alzheimer's Research UK can be made online using the JustGiving link on this page or by cheque made payable to the charity and sent c/o Lee Fletcher Funeral Services, 95 High Street, Cosham, PO6 3AZ. Mike had an eclectic career: starting as a farm labourer on the Isle of Wight; 10 years as a welder/blacksmith in Australia; returning to the Isle of Wight he became a newsagent; a student in Portsmouth gaining a BA in History and PGCE; teacher at Redwood Park where he became Head of Humanities and Head of Speech and Language. After his retirement he spent time on his allotment and other hobbies of DIY, woodwork, volunteering, travel and books and books ...

Mike, you were a good friend, always open, always willing to help.
You made a big contribution to pupils at Redwood Park who were 'partially hearing' You worked hard to make these pupils feel included. You gave them a better learning experience by your efforts.
I am truly grateful for your contribution to those happy and successful times at Redwood
I learnt to respect and value your unique outlook on life and am grateful for our friendship.
