In loving memory of Shaun Williams who sadly passed away on 23rd May 2025 following a long stay in hospital.

Shaun was Tamworth born and bred, living in Amington, Bolehall and Stonydelph at various stages of his life.
After leaving school at 16, Shaun pursued a career in engineering, becoming a fully indentured, apprentice Machine Tool Rebuilder at Twywood Ltd. Following that Shaun had a spell of self - employment returning to being employed working for companies such as Calcran, Prospot and lastly Brown and Holmes.

At 17, Shaun together with his girlfriend Hazel became a proud parents to their son Nathan with whom he shared his love of all things mechanical. In 2019, he became a proud granddad of his treasured grandson Teddy.

Unfortunately, in 2001 Shaun was diagnosed with diabetes which led to many health issues which from 2017, became increasingly serious and eventually fatal.

Despite his poor health Shaun enjoyed life loving motorbikes, cars and more latterly trains. He had a sharp sense of humour which many who worked with him appreciated. He was a dedicated family man with a stubborn streak which could be a blessing when fighting his illness, but self defeating too at times.
His family and friends thought the world of him and as such, his loss has left a huge hole in many people’s hearts and lives.

My wife, Lindsey and I first met Shaun and Hazel when we moved in next door as neighbours in December 2015..I was overjoyed to see his gleaming immaculate Subaru Impreza on the drive and imediately thought "Fantastic, a Fellow Petrolhead !"
After we spoke I learned he was a skilled engineer and loved motorcyles too, it gets even better I thought and throughout the years as brilliant, friendly neighbours, Shaun was always there if I needed help in any engineering query I might have had..He was intelligent, clever and had a great, dry sense of humour.
Both my Wife and i were saddened and prayed hard as Shaun bravely fought his ill health issues..Ours tears flowed when we found out he could no longer fight the relentless pain and discomfort he had endured..
We miss him and he will always be in our thoughts as a great guy, friend and fantastic neighbour..Rest In Peace Shaun, you'll never be forgotten...

Hi all thank you for the kind messages and kind donations so far.
We have been asked regarding Dress code, so smart casual / traditional please.

We have also been asked regarding flowers or donations, so we are happy with flowers and or donations to our chosen charity.
However we are happy just for people to be able to attend the day. Thank you.

I thought this would be nice time to share the reason for the chosen charity, Made a Mark as they where able to supply us with a lovely memory box that we could share with Teddy that contained wonderful items including a children’s book to help him understand a little more about about the circumstances.
I can honestly say I believe it helped and even helped us approach the conversation with Teddy.

Thank you again for all the love, support and messages from everyone.

Uncle Shaunie, I always adored you so much as a little one. You will always be my Uncle Shaunie. I love you very much and will always remember all the advice and help you gave me when I passed my driving test and bought my first car. And in my core memory, you will always eating giant Knickerbocker glory ice creams with Nathan when we were kids. We've had so many fun memories as a family gathering together. You will be missed by all of us, but you live in our hearts forever.

Love you always from your niece Sinéad.

Alaa and Bonnie dog are thinking of you too xxx

Shaun has been a big part of my life from a very young age and will be massively missed from our lives.
Shaun and my sister together gave me my Nephew on my birthday which I will be forever grateful for that.
Shaun will live on in our lives and never be forgotten.
Rest easy brother and give dad a big hug from me.
Xx
