In loving memory of Peggy Jean Wyant who sadly passed away on 24th May 2025.
Peg was born in 1936 as Margaret Jean Morgan, 3 years after her sister Joan. Raised in Heath Green Road, Birmingham, she left King Edwards Grammer School around 15 years old, and dabbled in many office roles before settling into life as a bookkeeper.
In her late teens and twenties she absolutely loved the clubbing scene and going to 'dances' which was where she first encountered Alan who years later she would go on to reunite with and marry in 1967.
Julie followed shortly after in September 1968 and 3 years later Mike arrived.
Peg raised her family in Minworth from 1974, before splitting from Alan in 1988 and after losing her Mum in 1989, she moved back in with her Dad in Streetly before he passed away in 1991.
Peg retired from working at Fospat at Mile Oak when she turned 65 and the cruising holidays with Joan became a very regular thing. She loved ship life and seeing the many countries and cultures this type of travel allows.
Peg was also very proud of her grandchildren Lillie and Matthew. born in 2000 and 2001 respectively.
She will leave a huge hole in our hearts, together with an abundance of memories of love and laughter.
The funeral date is Wednesday 25 June 1pm at Streetly Crematorium, followed by nibbles at The Queslett , everyone is very welcome.
Mum's favourite colours were blue and purple and we would encourage these rather than black if possible as we would like celebrate Peg's life as joyfully as possible
