On behalf of all the patients and staff at St Leonard's Hospice thank you for kindly choosing to donate to the Hospice, in memory of Kieran. We are forever grateful for the generosity that is shown to us, without which the work of the Hospice would not be possible. Thank you for honouring the memory of Kieran in such a thoughtful manner and in turn, helping us to continue caring for others.
With warmest regards,
Amanda

I have a very vivid memory from the first day I met Kieran. I’d been told to keep an eye out for someone tall and probably wearing bright orange at York station. Surprisingly he wasn’t wearing it that day. After exploring some of his recommended spots (all were great) at some point the topic of the infinite number pi came up. We both claimed reciting it was a trick. With no hesitation we started into it together. Kieran is only person I’ve met who’s ever bested me.

I have a very long list of fond memories with Kieran. Many you had to be there for, a lot are too long for telling here, so I will just share this:

Kieran and I used to play a lot of pool at Uni, to the point that we would go all over campus to find the best tables. We knew them all and would plan any evenings out around the times they were likely to be free. I never really tried to get good at the game, I was just there for the chatting and the laughs, to the point that my objective of playing was to deny Kieran a complete shutout, as he was exceptionally good at the game…. It took him three years, but he did get it.
