Brian William Richardson

15 January 1935 – 19 May 2025

Alan, Megan, and Judith are sad to announce the passing of their beloved father, Brian William Richardson, who died peacefully on 19 May 2025, aged 90.
Born in South London on 15 January 1935, Brian lived a rich and generous life marked by professional achievement, personal passion, and deep love for his family. He enjoyed a successful career as a chartered surveyor before retiring in 1989 to fulfil a long-held dream: building a narrowboat with his beloved wife, Margaret, with whom he shared many happy years before her passing.
In his youth, Brian played rugby with great enthusiasm and remained a devoted supporter of the England team throughout his life. He also had a lifelong love of sailing and found joy and peace on the water. He was an active and supportive member of the Old Elthamians, maintaining strong ties with the school community and lifelong friends.
Brian will be fondly remembered for his warm sense of humour, sharp mind, and enduring love of family. He stayed engaged with the world, always keeping up with current affairs and enjoying thoughtful conversations with those around him.
He leaves behind his children—Alan, Megan, and Judith—and their families, including four cherished grandchildren, all of whom will carry his memory forward with love and gratitude.
