To my dear Uncle Arthur, I never got to really know you as my brother Ron did when he and Sue returned to England a few times over the years. My memories of you come to me only from when I was a very young boy just before emigrating to Australia in the 60s. Even so, I do remember you as being very much like your brother Tom who I did have the pleasure of knowing well here in Australia. Your sister Doris (my mother) always spoke very well of you; and I wish now that we could have caught up.
So dear Uncle, may you Rest In Peace.
My thoughts are with your family at this sad time.
Sincerely,
Doug and Maura

We were honoured to have seen uncle Arthur again, late April 2025, after not having visited the UK from Australia for some 12 years (2013). His humour was still visible but our memories of him will will be of a good natured, outgoing, loving 2nd youngest brother to our late mother Doris Pottrell (need Goode). May he join his younger brother Tom and elder sisters Doris, Elsie and Ivy wherever that be! His legacy and memory will live on in his relatives and those who new him. Love Ronald & Susan Pottrell (currently touring Europe).
