In Loving Memory of Our Beloved Mum and Nan, Pauline Ann Paling
With great sadness, we share the passing of our wonderful Mum and Nan, Pauline Ann Paling, who peacefully left us at home on 14th May 2025, surrounded by her beloved family.
Mum was full of life and adventure, her independence shining through in everything she did. Even at 86, she was still traveling abroad, embracing new experiences with her signature curiosity and determination. At home, she poured love into her garden, finding peace in nurturing every bloom. But her greatest joy was her family she was a devoted mother, a cherished Nan, and a proud great-grandmother who adored her two great-granddaughters, who in turn, loved her dearly. She was a friend to many, always ready with warmth, humor, and just a touch of drama, keeping life interesting!
Mum also faced one of life’s toughest battles with incredible strength. Over a year, she fought bladder cancer with fierce determination, enduring painful treatments and difficult side effects. Yet she soldiered on, proving time and again that she was an unbreakable force. She may have thought she lost the fight, but she won, she left on her own terms, stronger and more resilient than anyone could have imagined.
In accordance with Mum’s wishes, we kindly request family flowers only.
If you would like to make a donation in her memory, contributions can be made via the Just Giving section of this page to support the Royal National Lifeboat Institution or the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance Charity, two causes close to her and Dad’s hearts.

Mum was an incredible woman whose love, laughter, and strength will live on in all of us.
