Peacefully in her sleep, with loved ones at her side, on May 4th aged 101 years, Doreen. The devoted wife of the late Matty, much-loved mam of Gloria, Margaret and dear mother-in-law of Paul and the late Derek. A treasured grandma, great-grandma, great-great-grandma and great-great-great-grandma. Forever in our hearts.

Family and friends please meet on Wednesday 4th June for a service in Independent Methodist Church, Hetton-le-Hole at 10:15am, committal to follow in Durham Crematorium. Family flowers only, donations in lieu kindly accepted for the work of Dementia UK. A donation box will be available in the church. Please join the family afterwards to continue the celebration of Doreen’s life in Hetton Lyons Cricket Club.
